  • Squabble: An argument over something that is not important
    • In his final years, as his sons squabbled, he pursued another dream, that of reuniting North and South Korea through trade, aid and investment. (Don Kirk)
  • Propound: Put forward (an idea or theory) for the consideration of others.
    • While propounding "the Confucian spirit," Mr. Chung also had faith in his ability to overcome all odds as he charged into new fields. (Don Kirk).
  • Teleological: Relating to or involving the explanation of phenomenon in terms of the purpose they serve rather than of the cause by which they arise.
    • The ideas and human actions related to sustainability derive directly from those purposes, goals or social expectations. For that reason, it can be said that this use reveals a teleological meaning of the concept of sustainability. (Zapata & Munos)
